Tenzing
Most energy drinks are full of synthetic ingredients, artificial mood boosters and loads of sugar. Having spent a number of years at Red Bull, Huib van Bockel decided that there must be a better and more natural way to energise ourselves. “The market is saturated with drinks that use artificial ingredients and loads of sugar,” said van Bockel. “There’s really no need to synthetically create an energy drink, when it’s possible to source powerful, energising ingredients directly from nature.”
Tenzing® was launched in 2015 in partnership with Jamling Tenzing Norgay, son of Sherpa Tenzing Norgay, who was the first man to summit Mount Everest with Sir Edmund Hillary. The drink contains seven, naturally powerful ingredients including Himalayan rock salts, Indian gooseberries, guarana and lemon juice from Brazil, green coffee and green tea from Kenya, and beet sugar from the Netherlands. Each can only contains 55 calories.
The company has pledged to donate 5% of its profits to projects that help sustain the environment. Tenzing® also works with the Tenzing Norgay family on environmental projects in the Himalayas. Plus, the product is responsibly sources and Rainforest Alliance Certified ™.
