BrewDog
With a brassy reputation for their anti-establishment approach to marketing, the Scottish multinational brewery and pub chain has also gone big on sustainability and responsible business practice. In 2020 BrewDog officially became the first carbon negative beer business in the world — it removes twice as much carbon from our atmosphere than it emits each year.
In recent years BrewDog has launched a series of initiatives to minimise their footprint and help the fight against climate change. This includes purchasing the BrewDog Forest in the Scottish Highlands, which is a 2,050 acre site where the company will plant one million trees and restore 650 acres of peatland over the next few years. Other green project plans include wind power for their British bars, the recycling of wastewater, an electric delivery fleet, and an investment system that supports local brewing sites to shorten the whole supply chain. Great beer with a conscience — cheers to that!
