Riverford Organic Farmers
Riverford began in 1987 with one man, a borrowed tractor and a veggie patch in his parents’ farm in Devon. Guy Singh-Watson started out with a passion for organic farming, feeding his friends with the season’s best and shaping a better future for our climate.
Fast-forward to today, and Riverford grows mountains of fresh organic vegetable on farms across the UK, delivering the crunchiest carrots, the curliest kale and the juiciest tomatoes straight to your front door. But it’s so much more than veggie boxes.
Riverford is committed to farming organically to minimise detrimental impacts on soils, water, biodiversity, animal welfare and climate change. Riverford doesn’t use air freight and 72% of the veggies are from UK farms. No heated greenhouses are used, 100% of packaging is home-compostable, and an average of over 1,290 tonnes of food waste is diverted each year by donating to food banks.
Riverford Foods is now B Corp certified, an ever-growing team of proper farmers, growing proper veg, with a proper commitment to sustainable and organic farming.
